Hace treinta años, Pavement marcó el camino del indie rock de los 90 -lo-fi, inteligente, cínico como la generación X- con Slanted y Enchanted. (Y sí, la banda llegó a definir el término “slacker rock”.) Todavía se puede escuchar su influencia en artistas como Courtney Barnett, Deerhunter, Beabadoobee, Parquet Courts, Kiwi Jr. y muchos más. Y, por supuesto, inspiraron en gran medida el álbum homónimo de Blur de 1997, cambiando la cara del pop británico sin proponérselo. Mientras Pavement continúa con su primera gira desde 2010, echamos un vistazo a la historia de la banda a través de sus discos de época.

In fact, not so long ago, if you wanted to see a video of your favorite band, you only had the option of watching it on specialized TV channels or acquiring official products from them. However, the arrival of Youtube, in 2004, changed everything.

As with other recent Grand Theft Auto in-game radio networks, songs, DJ commentators and other material are randomly sequenced, and may occasionally incorporate references to in-game events. While DJ’s do not reference weather changes (a feature not seen since Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas), some DJ’s will reference the time of day (saying “Good Morning” or “Good Evening” in their case, for example).
This station is exclusively for the PC platform also including all the songs from the “Welcome to Los Santos” compilation. The station was originally exclusive to the Windows version, but became available for all console versions in the Dirty Money Part 2 update in July 2015.
